Hi everyone,
I am Rayner Sutardja, a graduate student in the Physics and Astronomy department at UCLA.
It has recently come to my attention that the twitter user ‘Epistemology Quest’ accused me of ‘participating in anti-Semitic actions’ by going to a protest at UCLA. This post showed a side-by-side picture of a different Asian person at a protest at UCLA and a picture of me from a physics website.
Here is the post:

This is, in fact, not a picture of me at a protest.
If you would like a simple way to show that we are two different people, you can look at the position of my ears and his. His ears are much further down and closer to his chin than mine are. I have marked the key difference in red here:

Furthermore, my eyes and eyebrows are further apart than his eyes and eyebrows, and I have very clear double eyelids, while he does not. My neck is also narrower. The picture on the left is simply a picture of a completely different person.
Here is another picture of me, taken around the time of the protest.

I’ve cropped out my partner’s face for my own privacy. My hairstyle at the time does not match his hairstyle, and you can more clearly see that our eyes and eyebrows are distinct from each other, and my chin is a different shape.
Hopefully it is pretty obvious that I am not the person at the protest. Thank you for reading.
Rayner
